Job Title: Maintenance Planner
Job Description
The Maintenance Planner plays a pivotal role in promoting and supporting a highly efficient and low-cost Maintenance Organization. Utilize your expertise in CMMS (SAP), workflow management, and technician coordination to keep our facility running smoothly and effectively. As a Maintenance Planner, you will be the backbone of our maintenance operations, ensuring that all tasks are meticulously planned, scheduled, and executed. Your role will involve leveraging SAP for various maintenance activities, managing workflows, and organizing technicians' work to optimize performance and minimize downtime.
Responsibilities
Utilize SAP to build, enter, and modify preventive/predictive maintenance plans.
Update equipment structures, Bill of Material items (BOMs), and vendor information.
Link resource materials and drawings.
Run reports and manage ordering processes.
Foster growth in SAP measures and best practices.
Collaborate with plant employees regarding equipment, work plans, and improvements.
Determine preventive/predictive maintenance tasks, frequencies, and time for tasks.
Recommend stock levels and identify high-quality, low-cost options when planning work.
Liaise with vendors to gather pertinent information regarding plant equipment.
Process daily and weekly work reports.
Ensure all work orders are accurate and complete through their close-out steps.
Implement identified work order/PM changes.
Create and modify documented workflows.
Develop accurate equipment history and cost information from work orders.
Ensure parts, resources, and required materials are ready prior to planned work assignments.
Work with stores to ensure parts are 'kitted' before starting work.
Lead changes in work plans/tasks to promote workflow process improvement.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in CMMS, specifically SAP.
Excellent communication skills with all members of the plant organization and vendors.
Ability to interact with all hourly and salaried maintenance personnel.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field is preferred.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in maintenance planning or a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
Relevant certifications such as Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) are a plus.
Demonstrated proficiency in using maintenance planning and scheduling software.
Familiarity with the procurement of maintenance equipment and supplies.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dover, Delaware.
Shift
First Shift 7am-3:30pm M-F
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $37.00 - $37.00/hr.
