What are your contributions to the team?

  • Own and manage the development and management of the strategies, schedules and budget of your engineering project portfolio.

  • Manage your project portfolio within the organization of the program office (Plan, Organize, Direct and Control);

  • Manage governance related to your work package, establish metrics to monitor employee and technical performance and progress, and prepare the necessary content (agenda, strategy, proposed schedule, profitability analysis, etc.);

  • Establish & present engineering-related project schedules and business cases, and guide the cross functional team towards defined project milestones;

  • Lead and facilitate project integration, evaluation and execution with internal and external stakeholders;

  • Manage risks & opportunities associated with your portfolio of projects;

  • Provide support and prioritization to team members both internally and externally

  • Control Program costs (manpower, material and other direct costs), support negotiations with suppliers and other stakeholders in terms of schedule, technical scope and commercial impact

How to thrive in this role?

  • You hold a bachelor's degree in engineering or project management. Alternatively, you possess relevant and equivalent diploma and at least five (5) years of experience in aeronautics or relevant experience;

  • You have relevant technical engineering related experience in aircraft manufacturing and knowledge of certification requirements, aircraft systems and interiors; or any other similar manufacturing industry

  • You have knowledge of project management, PMI training (an asset);

  • You possess excellent communication skills (written & spoken) and the ability to influence at different levels of the organization. Good interpersonal & leadership skills

  • You can work under pressure and tight deadlines, and still deliver on commitments.

  • You master the Microsoft Office suite and a very strong aptitude in data management;

  • You are customer oriented and innovative in problem solving;

  • You show an open mind and a great ability to work in a team;

  • You are well organized; possess time management skills

  • You are able to work autonomously are results driven, and have the ability to make decisions.
