We are currently in search of Finance Regional Director for Soltec North America.

Your goal will be to e nsure the recording of financial transactions in the assigned region, overseeing accounting, preparation and analysis of financial statements, as well as internal and economic control. Likewise, ensure compliance with all tax obligations of the company in the assigned region, adhering to Soltec's administrative, financial, and accounting processes according to current legislation.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING

The Finance Regional Director will be assume the responsibility for overseeing and managing the financial flows, risks, planning, and financial and economic strategy of the company. Soltec North America.

Main responsibilities

  • Supervise accounting in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and local accounting principles, conducting monthly financial closings in line with group standards.

  • Analyze and control subsidiary structural costs, as well as accounting and tax operations.

  • Develop and implement the subsidiary's budgeting process.

  • Liaise with and manage interactions with Public Administration and Official Organizations.

  • Oversee subsidiary financial statements to ensure data integrity.

  • Collaborate with internal or external audits, providing all required documentation.

  • Prepare periodic reports for management and external users, including financial books, annual accounts, etc.

  • Manage financial and accounting documents, ensuring meticulous filing of invoices, contracts, and economic documentation.

  • Conduct internal economic control by closely monitoring income and costs.

  • Ensure compliance with group accounting policies, enabling decision-making based on accurate and reliable data.

  • Coordinate and review ongoing project tracking: margins, revenues, costs, inventory, etc.

  • Review and monitor project cash flows.

  • Monitor contracts with clients for billing and collection milestones.

  • Coordinate feasibility studies for new projects.

  • Support and coordinate various financial planning processes of the Group.

  • Analyze past and future trends of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

  • Fulfill all tax obligations of the company in the assigned region, including tax planning, optimization, settlement, and tax management, or handling any tax procedures.

  • Supervise local tax compliance.

  • Analyze, from very early stages, the tax implications of any significant operation proposed to the company in order to propose the best structure for it.

  • Manage and develop personnel under their responsibility (if applicable).

  • Provide support to other functions/projects within the department.

  • These functions represent the entirety of the position, but are not exclusively imited to them.

    Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Management, Economic Sciences, Finance, or a related field.

  • Preferred: MBA or postgraduate degree in Finance, Business Management, or a relevant discipline.

  • English Native – C2, Spanish fluent.

  • Minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in comparable roles, ideally within the energy sector.

  • Proficiency in IFRS, Financial statements, accounting regulations, treasury management, financial reporting, external audit. preferred ERP: SAP.

  • Proven experience in a nalysis of complex financial data. extensive knowledge in financial and management accounting, including the application of international accounting principles (IFRS) and local US standards, optimization of company's financial performance, understanding of the industrial or renewable energy sector and its financial operations, analytical thinking, planning and organization, autonomy, coordination.
