This opportunity resides with Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C5ISR), a business group within HII’s Mission Technologies division. Who We Are

HII-Mission Technologies is seeking a Knowledge Management Strategy Lead & Analysts in Doral, FL to provide strategy and implementation services to our customer.

This position is in support of US Southern Command (USSOUTHCOM) operations, planning, engagements, and security cooperation in its assigned Area of Responsibility (AOR), which currently includes Central America, South America, and the Caribbean Sea.

One of six US geographic combatant commands, USSOUTHCOM deters aggression, defeats threats, rapidly responds to crises, and builds regional capacity by working with partner nations and mission partners to enhance security and defend the US homeland and national interests. USSOUTHCOM is responsible for providing contingency planning, operations, and security cooperation in its AOR to understand and counter threats from transnational criminal organizations, violent extremist organizations, and malign regional and external state actors.

What You Will Do

  • Provides knowledge management (KM) strategy and implementation services.

  • Responsible for designing, developing, and managing plans/programs/activities related to knowledge management for the purposes of facilitating situational awareness, decision-making, and mission execution.

  • Responsible for conducting evaluation strategies to gauge knowledge program effectiveness and return on investment, to include KM maturity benchmarking, metrics definition, collection, analysis, and reporting.

  • Promulgates standards, process improvement, and best practices for collaboration, storage, sharing, use, reuse, and disposition of knowledge products.

  • Supports the Command Chief Knowledge Officer (CKO) to develop, provide, and oversee KM guidance, strategy, metrics, and doctrine that supports the Commander's Lines of Effort.

  • Develop training, communications, and awareness programs related to knowledge management. Serves as a resource to the EKMWG.

  • Performs the day-to-day overall management of the Knowledge Management (KM) process.

  • Embeds with their assigned J-Code or Component to identify and address their specific KM needs while also championing KM culture and orchestrating greater Command-level KM solutions.

  • Implements knowledge management processes and procedures to ensure that mission personnel have access to the information they need to perform their jobs effectively.

  • Captures Command explicit and tacit knowledge.

  • Provides guidance and training to mission personnel on knowledge management best practices.

  • Ensures that all KM process activities and KM tools / technology are well documented to ensure accurate measures of success.

What We Are Looking For

  • 6 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 4 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 10 years relevant experience.

  • 3+ years of experience maintain knowledge management for a DoD customer.

  • Experience using tools and build visualizations or workflow applications in Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Power Apps, or Power BI.

  • Clearance: Must possess and maintain a Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.

Preferred: Bonus Points For...

  • 10+ years of experience with a Master’s degree for Lead

  • Prior experience supporting USSOUTHCOM.
