GE Aerospace OWS Doha Planning Leader in Doha, Qatar

Job Description Summary

The OWS Doha Planning Leader is directly responsible for the safe, compliant, and efficient execution of customer tasks, both in the Doha Workshop and during line/field operations, and therefore reports directly to the OWS Regional Business Leader (Pt145 Accountable Manager). They are responsible for the coordination and performance of all customer tasks from initial job request through to final invoicing post-delivery back to the customer.

Essential Responsibilities

  • The Primary responsibilities of the OWS Doha Planning Leader are:

  • Driving the execution of shop and line/field operations to the agreed plan or customer commitment.

  • Ownership of Level 7 Daily Management and assigned KPIs for shop product lines and field operations, in accordance with FLIGHT DECK principles and standards.

  • Balancing priorities between shop and line/field operations, escalating to the OWS Regional Business Leader when appropriate.

  • Allocation of the appropriately skilled personnel to support all OWS Doha Operations.

  • Ensuring the task allocation of technicians considers the impact of Human Factors and is compliant with regulatory limits, and OWS fatigue management policies.

  • Creation and management of quotations and invoicing in line with customer agreements and GE Aerospace policies and procedures.

  • Building and managing excellent relationships with internal/external customers, and other GE Aerospace stakeholders, in support of meeting the planned shop output and field/line task execution.

  • Liaising with other OWS Doha departments (Operations, Materials, Engineering, etc..) to ensure the smooth and efficient execution of tasks.

  • Liaising with OWS Doha Planning department to optimize solutions for field tasks, and to exploit opportunities between the sites to balance workload and maximize the utilization of resources.

  • Objective monitoring and performance management of the Planning Department personnel, including setting and reviewing individual’s priorities, coaching and development, and taking corrective action to address shortfalls where necessary.

  • Supporting the growth of the Technician team, by collaborating with the Operations Leader to exploit training opportunities, maintain technical currency, and ensuring their continued development and growth.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a technical subject from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with minimum of 4 years of experience in an operational or technical discipline)

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in an aerospace maintenance / engineering environment

  • Experience of working in a Pt145 regulatory environment with aeroengine products

  • Proven experience in problem solving and driving change

  • Highly collaborative approach and positive attitude
