Position Description

*This position is contingent upon your ability to maintain your current DOD Secret level Security Clearance. This position is also contingent upon contract award. Barring award of contract, this position will be relocated to Adelaide, Australia within the first three (3) to nine (9) months of employment. *

Team AUKUS is responsible for:

The real time support of operational submarines keeping them at sea in support of national tasking, modernization of submarine equipment, financial and budget management, planning of submarine availabilities, shipyard support of submarines in availabilities, logistical support, quality assurance (SUBSAFE), and submarine certifications.

The Team AUKUS concept unifies once diverse submarine-related activities into a single submarine-centric organization with the goal of eliminating traditional stovepipe structures and processes that created impediments and inefficiencies in the submarine research, development, acquisition, and maintenance communities. Team AUKUS provides improved communication among the various offices that contribute to the overall success of the United States Submarine Force.

In this position, you will:

  • Provide technical support covering a wide variety of Team AUKUS logistics issues, including overall supply chain for parts in weapons system support.

  • Assist in the development of logistics support plans (LCSP, SPB, etc.) and logistics considerations in program planning and documentation.

  • Demonstrate ability to be a team player; works well with others; contributes positively to work/team environment while continually seeks ways to enhance contribution to the team.

  • Support Configuration Management (CM) Program audits, supportability assessment reviews, technical reviews, and evaluate documentation for impacts to logistics and life-cycle logistics support.

  • Monitor, document, and track Configuration Status Accounting (CSA) and logistics in-service submarine platforms metrics, processes, and procedures.

  • Participate and support Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS) and Obsolescence Management IPTs/WGs.

  • Provide Logistics review and analysis of change proposals, design improvement proposals, drawing changes, technical manual development, and lifecycle supportability/sustainment considerations.

  • Provide review and analysis of risk mitigation issues with respect to new design proposals resulting from Reduction of Total Ownership Cost initiatives.

  • Coordinate with in-service submarine platform key product support providers to identify, track and resolve CM and ILS product deficiencies.

  • Coordinate ILS meetings, record meeting minutes, provide logistical support, brief, and track action items/milestones.

  • Assess and provide quality assurance feedback on all ILS documentation, draft instructions, and product deliverables.

Qualifications

To b e successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline with a minimum of 7 professional years ofNavy /NAVSEA / Submarine sustainment experience. ( 10 years of relevant experience within a military environment may be considered in lieu of degree. )

  • An active DoD Secret clearance is required to be considered.

  • Must be willing to relocate to Australia post-employment.

  • Experience with logistics review and analysis of change proposals.

  • Experiencereviewing and analyzing risk mitigation issues with respect to new design proposals resulting from Reduction of Total Ownership Cost initiatives.

  • Up to 15% travel may required.

Highly Desired :

  • Experience supporting the Reliability Control Board (RCB), Sustainment IPT, Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) workshops and provisioning conferences.

  • Experience supporting HM&E/NPES systems, subsystems, equipment, and component change-out integrated product support elements/integrated logistics support (ILS) elements product update/development/ILS certification.

  • Experience with Logistics review and analysis of change proposals, design improvement proposals, drawing changes, technical manual development, and life-cycle supportability/sustainment considerations.

  • Ability to coordinate with in-service submarine platform key product support providers to identify, track and resolve CM and ILS product deficiencies.

  • Experience with design improvement proposals, drawing changes, technical manual development, and life-cycle supportability/sustainment considerations.

  • Experience Reviewing and assessing programmatic documents including (but not limited to) Statements of Work (SOW), Contract Data Requirement Lists (CDRLs), Bills of Material (BOMs), Analysis of Alternatives (AoA), Class Maintenance Plan (CMP), Reliability, Availability, and Maintainability Plan (RAMP), Life Cycle Support Plan (LCSP), Sustainment Program Baselines (SPB), etc.

  • Ability to conduct analyses of HM&E/NPES subsystem development plans, cost proposals, Logistics, and other technical documentation.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

In compliance with state and local laws regarding pay transparency, the salary range for this role is $62,704.34 to $101,895.84; however, Serco considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills.
