Summary

The purpose of this position is to be the first line of communications between the Carrier, Perdue Dispatch and Distribution, and Dillon Shipping. Serve as the verification step between outputs produced by Shipping Loader, CFS Scanning and SAP manifests. Input all load information including, pick sheets, Post Goods Issue (PGI), Bill of Lading (BOL), late trucks and order fill rate.

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Answer phone, take messages and sign drivers in and out.

• Communicate between corporate dispatch, physical distribution, sales and drivers.

• Receive incoming loads, document information in logbook, file source documents, fill out discrepancy report when required.

• Update a list of loads with additions, changes and manifested loads. In an accurate and timely manner and communicate changes to management.

• Check load diagrams for completeness and errors comparing load diagram to scanning confirmation sheet (CFS) and pick sheet (SAO) for accuracy to reduce manifest discrepancies.

• Confirm orders in CFS; PGI orders in SAP; complete BOL and drivers paperwork for outgoing loads.

• Compile and prepare reports for late trucks and product shortages in LOTUS. Maintain current and historical files, documenting all errors and corrections.

• Adhere to all safety requirements including PPE, preventing and reporting unsafe acts and conditions, Lockout-Tagout procedures and Process Safety Management related matters.

Minimum Education

High School or equivalent

Experience Requirements

0 to 2 years. Must possess knowledge of computer system, Windows, Lotus 1-2-3, Excel, Microsoft Office, Notes and other business applications. Systems Analysis and Programming (SAP) knowledge helpful. Will be required to achieve certification in SAP and Computer Way Food Systems (CFS) within (30) thirty days of being hired.

Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements

1. Position is mostly sedentary but may require occasional moving to other offices or buildings. 2. May need to move light equipment or supplies from one place to another. 3. May need to access files, supplies and equipment. 4. Work activity is in an office, open-partitioned, cubicle environment. 5. When in a plant environment: Exposure primarily consists of wet and moist floors which include metal and plastic grating surfaces. May be exposed to temperatures of 28 degrees to 100 degrees Fahrenheit with both ambient and 100% humidity. May handle product 25 degrees to 50 degrees Fahrenheit. May be exposed to noise ranges of 50 db to 110 db. May be exposed to all chemicals used in poultry, food, processing facility. Must wear and use protective and safety equipment required for the job as directed by the Company.
