The Opportunity
This position of Financial Controller works can be based in our offices in Diegem, Belgium, for our Structural Heart division , where you will be responsible to partner with the North region General Manager and commercial team to analyze trends of the products, profitability and contribution of each product and suggest actions to correct and/or optimize results
What You’ll Do:
Provide leadership and supervision for the finance functions and responsibilities as well as ensuring compliance responsibilities, controllership, documentation for future Audits, contributing to the development and implementation of short, medium and long-term goals and strategies.
Partner with the North region General Manager and commercial team to analyze trends of the products, profitability and contribution of each product and suggest actions to correct and/or optimize results.
Prepare the Plan and LBE, monitor Actuals, and provide insights in Plan and LBE vs Actual results and propose corrective actions as needed. Monitor the Commercial and Financial performance, compare the Plan and LBE vs Actual results. Partner with the North GM to propose business cases (in the areas of growth as well as optimization).
Lead all aspects of the financial activities including but not limited to:
Inventory management, pricing, rebate set-up, report development and effectively
interact with stakeholders on these activities.
Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for IT systems (e.g. HFM, Dodeca, SAP, etc.), and act as the central point of contact for troubleshooting issues that arise between IT and Finance.
Act as Finance leader for the business, approaching in entrepreneurial fashion, and putting in place initiatives that will drive sustainable growth for EMEA Structural Heart Lead, guide, provide feedback & train FTE`s, contractors / interns, and take leadership for their work and their progress. Maintain effective relationships and share best practices.
Required Qualifications
Professional Degree, preferred in Accounting, Business Administration or Economics
MBA or master's degree (desirable)
Preferred Experience:
A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a financial role ideally having been responsible for FP&A
Past experience in Sales and Finance setting required
Health care industry understanding / experience preferred
Proven success in entrepreneurial environment preferred
Emotional intelligence and cultural awareness required
High level of competence with Microsoft Office suite, especially advanced Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint skills required
Excellent interpersonal skills at all levels required
Ability to form partnerships and build relationships with cross functional partners, regional and international contacts required
Familiarity with Essbase, Dodeca, SAP, and HFM, TM1 and BI skill would be advantageous.
