Clean Harbors is searching for a reliable and safety oriented I&E Technician with an excellent mechanical aptitude to join our San Leon, TX team! The Electrical and Instrumentation Technician will be responsible for performing hands-on instrument checks, calibrations, and PLC Logic programming, along with diagnosing issues with control circuitry and assisting the electrical and maintenance departments with various tasks as needed.

• Troubleshoots instrument and control malfunctions

• Performs preventative maintenance checks and calibrations

• Maintains accurate records and logs as required

• Installs new system controls (including power wiring)

• Installs cabling, power distribution systems, and motor control centers

• Services and replaces motors and lighting

• Performs general electrical maintenance

• Other duties as assigned

What does it take to work for Clean Harbors?

• HS Diploma or Equivalent

• 4+ years combined of plant experience and related education preferred

• Instrument and/or electrical training, degree, or certification preferred

• Experience with DeltaV-distributed control system (DCS)

• Wonderware and Honeywell preferred

• Journeyman Electrician License a plus!

• Proficiency in blueprint reading of electronic schematics

• Proficiency in process and instrumentation diagrams (PID)

• Ability to prioritize

• Mechanically inclined

• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs, bend, stoop, lift, climb and stand for long periods of time
