STARK COUNTY Information Technology Coordinator (IT Coordinator) in Dickinson, North Dakota

*Primary Duties and Responsibilities: *

  • Works directly with IT Committee and MSP to coordinate IT service delivery, ensuring all technical operations align with business objectives and are efficiently managed.
  • Provides direct support to users in the operation and processing of on-going technology applications. Commutes to various County buildings to assist with IT related matters.
  • Installs, assembles, configures, and maintains computers, monitors, and peripherals, including printers, scanners, and related hardware.
  • Pulls cables and rewires cabling as required for new installations and office re-configurations.
  • Provides technical support and troubleshooting assistance for networked computer systems, including hardware, software, and email. Unlocks user accounts in Active Directory and resets password.
  • Investigates and resolves network and peripheral equipment problems; performs related repairs as required.
  • Performs preventative maintenance necessary to keep County computers and systems free of viruses, spyware, and adware.
  • Responds to technical service requests in a timely and prompt manner; accurately documents technical service call information into ticketing or knowledge base systems(s).
  • Monitors and assists with ensuring the availability, connectivity, and security of assigned technology-related equipment.
  • Schedules and provides basic technology training such as network access and security, email and phone training to all new hires and other end users as requested.
  • Determines adequacy of existing equipment for software applications.
  • Prepares specifications for new equipment purchases; evaluates proposals and recommends purchases of both hardware and software. Maintains purchasing files and records.
  • Maintains inventory and replacement schedule. Coordinates and tracks parts/equipment orders.
  • Coordinates with MSP to oversee projects, schedule work, building access, and communicate updates to impacted users.
  • Processes department bills for payment, including bill coding.
