Yorktel is currently seeing an AV Technician, which is a key role in the support of the customer’s clients. This position is client facing and the Jr Tech must be professional and have a strong Customer Service attitude. The Jr Tech will be called upon, by the client, for any and all meeting type support and shall address any issues and requests to the best of their ability.Roles and Responsibilities:This position shall have the following responsibilities:Provide excellent customer service.Provide client assistance to support collaboration technology or process.Provide support on all collaboration technologies including, but not limited to: Microsoft TeamsMeetup devicesOwl video devicesWebexZoomProvide end-user support on process:Scheduling meetings with technologyRequesting supportBasic use of technologyTroubleshoot, to level 1, all issues to capability and resolution.Simple replacement of equipmentSwap of cablesBasic troubleshootingEscalate issues, as required, to necessary parties following process.Weekly room checksQuarterly room preventative maintenanceMaintain and report on all technology requests within Client’s Incident Management System.Ensure all assigned tickets are updated and closed once resolved.Provide standard weekly, monthly and quarterly reports as required and on-time.Adhere to all Yorktel policies including, but not limited to:Time keepingOvertime requests and authorizationsVacation and sick time requestsAdhere to all client policiesSkills and Abilities:1-3 years’ experience working with audio/visual equipment.1-3 years’ experience with troubleshooting technical issues.1-3 years’ experience in a customer facing position.Basic understanding of IP networking.Basic understanding of A/V signal flows.Ability to work as part of team and as an individual.Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds/25 kilos.Ability to walk and be on your feet for long periods of time.Some overtime required, as allowed by local labor law.Some local travel required.Climbing of ladders, up to 10 feet/3 meters Education and Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree preferred.Physical Requirements:Ability to lift up to 50 lbsMust be able to speak and understand English.Join us and you will enjoy an excellent salary and benefits package, including 401k and Flex 125 plans.We conform to all the laws, statutes, and regulations concerning equal employment opportunities and affirmative action.
