Typical Job Duties

  1. Provide Security Services at Client Locations

Tasks:

-Apply accepted foot and vehicular patrol procedures to deter crime

-Apply the principles of Absolute Customer Focus in every instance

-Operate CCTV and Alarm Systems

-Respond to Emergencies

-De-escalate intense interactions

-Physically manage acting out persons

-Document events while on duty

-Enforce the rules of the facility

  1. Supervisory Responsibilities:

Tasks:

-Exercise sound decision-making.

-Provide guidance to supervisors and officers on a consistent basis.

-Ensure clear communication through various avenues such as e-mail, messages on schedules, and note-taking.

-Be proactive in initiating and monitoring activity.

-Lead by Example

  1. Staff Development and Training:

Tasks:

-Consistently work with supervisors and officers on training and post-order management and development.

-Provide positive feedback and constructive criticism as needed.

-Ensure all officers and supervisors are properly trained.

-Provide documentation of all training to put in personnel files. Notify the client of all training.

-Engage subordinates in professional development.

-Encourage Supervisors to engage their subordinates in professional development.

  1. Manage Schedules

Tasks:

-Enter Data into scheduling software

-Fill all shifts.

-Follow the Scheduling Model

-Run Zero Overtime

-Review requests for time off and act on their disposition.

  1. Quality Improvement Activities:

Tasks:

-Create or participate in structured Quality Improvement Processes.

-Review and revise all policies on an annual basis.

-Nurture a climate of employee involvement and empowerment.

Requirements

  • A desire to learn, help people, and work with a team!

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Clear background (no felonies, no misdemeanors in last five years)

  • Reliable transportation

  • Ability to pass a drug screen (includes THC)

  • Willingness to adhere to uniform standards (no facial piercings, no visible offensive tattoos, no facial hair except a mustache, hair pulled off collar)

  • Proficient with computer software, Microsoft Office applications, etc.

Preferred Experience / Education

  • Associates Degree

  • 3 years of Security Experience or related field

  • 3 years of Supervisor / Manager Experience

Education Requirements (Any)

High School Equivalent
