We are seeking a Project Analyst with expertise in technology solutions to support and coordinate the project strategic activities to ensure the project meets the desired goals and outcomes. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of technology application knowledge, domain expertise, and exceptional project management skills. Operating in a fast-paced and deadline-focused environment, the Project Analyst will maintain composure, demonstrate leadership, and focus relentlessly on client satisfaction and team success.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Be directly accountable for the successful delivery of client projects.

  • Coordinate cross-functional resources to fulfill the Statement of Work (SOW) commitments.

  • Manage client relationships, ensuring open communication and progress on a daily basis.

  • Lead decision-making processes for technology projects, maximizing the use of platform features and minimizing custom coding.

  • Analyze project scope, manage client expectations, and communicate any changes or adjustments.

  • Develop project schedules and status reports as required by the client and organizational standards.

  • Identify and escalate project risks and issues, engaging with the appropriate team members and stakeholders.

  • Monitor project team utilization and project hours, adjusting forecasts as necessary.

  • Track project budgets against actual costs, providing regular financial updates.

  • Travel minimally as required to maintain high levels of client satisfaction.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Project Analyst in the technology sector, preferably with a professional services or consulting firm

  • Experience creating, applying and maintaining tools to track program, project, or task performance data, including cost, schedule, and performance data

  • Experience in the creation of routine and ad hoc reports

  • Ability to provide oral and written discussion of analytical findings using narrative and graphic forms and interact effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

  • Experience in managing collaborative projects with internal and external teams

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, including Project, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • Reliable internet service that allows for effective telecommuting

  • Eligible to work in the United States - US Citizenship

  • Able to obtain and maintain a government security clearance

  • Ability to obtain favorable adjudication following submission of Department of Defense eQuip Form SF86

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Government sector experience supporting delivery of large scale federal programs within the VA or DOD community

  • Experience with both declarative and programmatic solutions within technology platforms

As a requirement of UnitedHealth Group's contract with the Department of Defense, this position requires U.S. citizenship and proof of favorable adjudication following submission of Department of Defense eQuip Form SF86, (the National Agency Check Legal and Credit or NACLC). Successful completion of the NACLC process is a requirement for continued employment in this role. NACLC processing will be initiated by our TRICARE Security Officer post-offer, and can take 3-6 months for a final decision communication from the Department of Defense. Candidates will be allowed to begin employment with UnitedHealth Group in this role based on an interim clearance, and final results will be communicated as they are received. Failure to obtain final NACLC approval will result in termination from this role.

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
