Adecco US, Inc. Maintenance Technician in Detroit, Michigan

This position will be responsible for the timely and accurate inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of plant equipment, instrumentation, and controls. The Maintenance Technician reports to the Maintenance Manager. • Biweekly Pay Frequency - Competitive Salary (Metro Detroit region)

• Eligible for Monthly and Annual Safety Bonus based on individual and team performance

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Daily completion of Preventative Maintenance work orders.

• Daily completion of Reactive Maintenance Breakdown work orders.

• Daily monitoring of plant equipment for proper operation.

• Using an equipment manual, determine repair parts needed.

• Monitor the inventory of spare parts and maintenance supplies and report when getting low.

• Perform additional routine duties as assigned such as moving inventory; shoveling or plowing snow; or driving to a local vendor to drop off equipment or pick up supplies.

• Participate in “on-call rotations” during evening and weekend hours to come in to work to repair equipment that has broken down and cannot wait until normal work hours for repair.

• Proficient at troubleshooting of plant equipment such as Hot Oil System, Packaging Equipment, Reactors, Pelletizers, Air Compressors, Chillers, Ovens, Fork Trucks, Pumps, Cutting equipment.

• Must have a valid state driver’s license and experience driving Forklift Trucks, Scissor Lift & Articulating Lift.

Demonstrate proficiency in all of the following:

  1. Welding flat plate and CS pipe.

  2. Threading and pipe fitting pipe up to 2-inch diameter.

  3. Troubleshooting 120-volt electrical circuits.

  4. Working knowledge of single loop controllers to do basic programming and troubleshooting.

  5. Working knowledge of PLCs for purposes of troubleshooting.

  6. Mechanical equipment (pumps, valves, agitators, conveyors, etc.) disassembly, repair, reassembly, and alignment.

  7. 480-volt motors, VFDs, troubleshooting and replacement

  8. Working knowledge of flow, pressure, and temperature transmitters for troubleshooting purposes.

Pay Details: $30.00 to $35.00 per hour
