We're looking for a driven, enthusiastic leader with strong external and internal communications expertise to join the Pharmaceutical Solutions and Services (PSaS) Communications team. The PSaS Communications team acts as a trusted business partner coordinating with internal stakeholders to promote key business initiatives to both internal and external audiences. Reporting to the Vice President of Communications, Pharmaceuticals, this role will lead external and internal communications for McKesson PSaS core businesses such as Pharmaceutical Distribution, Community Pharmacy and Health, Strategic Accounts, Health Systems, and Strategic Pricing and Manufacturer Relations.

As Director of Communications, you will be responsible for leading internal and external communications support for key segments of McKesson's Pharmaceutical Solutions and Services (PSaS) business. This individual will be responsible for developing and overseeing the execution of strategic external communications plans that are aligned to the PSaS business goals. The role will also have responsibility of developing and leading the execution of internal communications plans, including executive communications.

The candidate must have a proven track record of achievement in a highly matrixed organization and comfortable operating in a role that requires the ability to build and influence excellent working relationships across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute public relations strategies supporting key business priorities, while working to advance the broader enterprise vision.

Lead PSaS executive communications and organizational communications for key McKesson businesses.

Supervise a team of three individuals, as well as external consultants, vendors and agency resources.

Collaborate closely with functions such as marketing, public affairs, legal and others to shape and optimize plans and execution.

Develop and implement proactive plans that amplify McKesson's work to help customersnavigate challenges impacting their business - from policy change toindustry-wide challenges.

Strengthen McKesson's thoughtleadership engine on topics where McKesson is uniquely poisedto deliver. This includes identifying and activating external thought leadership opportunities that are aligned with our strategic priorities and reach the right stakeholder, at the right time, with the right message.

Leverage internal channels to strategically connect each employee to PSaS key imperatives and goals.

Amplify our differentiated capabilities and solutions in earned media coverage.

Protect brand equity and customer loyalty through issues management.

Strengthen current measurement and performance reporting.

Engage employees through clear, strategic and compassionate leader communications.

Expertise/Capabilities should include:

Demonstrated excellence in all areas of communications including organizational communications, executive communications, change communications, media relations, issues management and data communications.

Exceptional written skills and deep expertise working in healthcare media.
