Description

We are in the search for a skilled Attorney/Lawyer to join our clients growing team in Detroit, Michigan. This position can sit on a hybrid or mostly remote basis.

• 1-3 years of experience handling BI/Third-party litigation from inception to conclusion, including trials to verdict. Additional handling of first party claims for auto carriers a plus

• First chair trials to verdict

• Ability to take full responsibility for files

• Must be able to handle a full inventory of files

• Knowledge of local and state discovery rules, trial procedures, and applicable substantive law commensurate with level of experience

• Experience presenting and cross-examining lay and expert witnesses

• Experience directing support staff on clerical and administrative matters related to lawsuit handling

• Experience working in a paperless electronic environment

• Strong automation/technological skills for lawsuit handling and courtroom presentation

• Preferred qualification is the handling of automobile negligence defense matters

  Requirements

• Must possess a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

• Admission to the state bar and good standing is essential

• Excellent oral and written communication skills

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• High level of professional ethics and integrity
