Description We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for an AV Technician based in DES PLAINES, Illinois. This role falls within the technology industry, and will involve assisting in the installation and maintenance of various media technologies, as well as providing support for classroom computer-based control systems.

Responsibilities:

• Assisting in the setup and installation of media and computer-based equipment used in instructional spaces, meetings, and special events.

• Providing support and guidance to faculty, students, and others in the efficient use of media technologies.

• Assisting in the maintenance and troubleshooting of AV, Computer, and Networking equipment/solutions.

• Delivering, setting up, and returning media & computer-based equipment used in classes.

• Analyzing, diagnosing, and troubleshooting issues with audio-visual and instructional media equipment.

• Providing support for networked projector systems and additional support for classroom computer-based control systems.

• Assisting Media Services staff in maintaining accurate customer records and resolving customer inquiries.

• Monitoring customer accounts and taking appropriate action as required.

• Processing customer credit applications accurately and efficiently.

• Utilizing skills in Computer Hardware, Cable Installation, Crestron, Extron, Audio System, and Audio Visual to ensure efficient operation. Requirements • Proficiency in Computer Hardware, including the ability to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment

• Experience with Cable Installation, ensuring secure and efficient connectivity for all hardware

• Familiarity with Crestron control systems, including programming and operation

• Knowledge of Extron products and their integration into AV systems

• Understanding of Audio Systems, including setup, calibration, and maintenance

• Expertise in Audio Visual technology and equipment, with the ability to coordinate, install, and operate AV setups for various events and functions Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.®
