We are seeking a Senior Payroll Specialist to join a dynamic team and play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing. Key Responsibilities:

  • Payroll Processing: Manage and oversee end-to-end payroll processing for a large employee base (including multi-state or international payroll, if applicable).

  • Compliance Management: Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local laws and regulations governing payroll.

  • Reporting & Auditing: Generate payroll reports for management and audit purposes while identifying and resolving discrepancies.

  • Tax Filings: Manage payroll tax filings, deductions, and reconciliations to ensure accuracy and timeliness.

  • System Expertise: Work with HRIS and payroll/ERP systems (e.g., Workday, UKG, ADP, Ceridian) to troubleshoot issues and streamline workflows.

  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to optimize payroll processes and implement best practices.

  • Employee Relations: Assist employees in resolving payroll-related questions and concerns professionally.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with HR, Accounting, and Finance teams to ensure seamless payroll operations.

    Requirements

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Education & Experience: Associate degree or higher with 2+ years of payroll experience, including multi-state processing.

  • Strong knowledge of payroll compliance, tax regulations, and related laws.

  • Proven ability to manage sensitive data with confidentiality and discretion.

  • Analytical mindset with problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment.

  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills.

  • Technical proficiency in payroll systems and advanced familiarity with tools like Excel.
