Job Description

We are looking for an Instructional Designer to coordinate and execute end-to-end design, development, and release timelines of digital learning content for CAI’s business practices including our aware-winning Neurodiverse Solutions Practice. The Instructional Designer will utilize adult learning principles and instructional design best practices to fit the needs of our learners within a fast-paced, continuous delivery environment. This position will be full-time and remote.

What You’ll Do

  • Coordinate and execute end-to-end design, development, and release timelines of digital learning content for CAI and CAI Neurodiverse Solutions; utilizing adult learning principles and instructional design best practices to fit the needs of our learners within a fast-paced, continuous delivery environment

  • Design and develop e-Learning from ideation through storyboarding and development as needed; ensure end-user adoption and a high impact learner experience

  • Create graphics, visual aids, and learning marketing materials to support the development of content based in the eLearning modality

  • Conduct needs assessment and job/task analysis to determine scope of training; provide thoughtful, intentional and creative solutions to address learning/training requests

  • Design, develop and implement processes and procedures to adequately assess the effectiveness of training, skill acquisition and retention of knowledge

  • Collaborate to create, implement and maintain processes and procedures for effective knowledge management, version control and communication strategy for training materials

  • Collaborate with multiple SMEs in multiple specialty areas

  • Actively seek opportunities to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of learning

What You'll Need

Required:

  • Bachelors’ degree in Learning Design, Learning Science, Instructional Design, or relevant field

  • Solid knowledge of ADA and/or WCAG accessibility requirements and experience with implementing standards across various learning/development tools and modalities

  • Working knowledge of instructional design model (ADDIE), learning methodologies, evaluation, and adult learning principles

  • Some familiarity with SCORM, online learning, learning technology, instructional, graphic design, and/or web design or development skills for technical content

  • Knowledge of Kirkpatrick levels of evaluation and experience building training that can tie back (measurably) to L3/L4

  • Intermediate to expert level of proficiency/experience in Articulate 360 suite of products

  • Experience in building engaging visuals, implementing various tools and graphics to tell a story, establishing templates all within company brand standards

  • Independent and resourceful with the ability to take initiative and work through ambiguity

  • Ability to communicate both technical and non-technical material in a readily understandable manner

  • Experience supporting small to medium-sized projects with defined objectives, deliverables and timelines; proven ability to work creatively and independently while driving projects to success

  • LMS authoring/publishing experience a plus, but not required

Preferred:

  • Power BI experience is highly preferred

Physical Demands

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions

  • Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.

  • Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
