Aerotek Installation Technician in Des Moines, Iowa
Job Description
As an Installation Technician, you will work in the construction industry, completing furniture installations to specifications, and may mount cabinets, cubbies, counters, or bookshelves before business occupancy. Key responsibilities include delivering and assembling furniture at commercial job sites, following blueprints and instructions for assembly and placement, loading and unloading trucks, mounting cabinets and bookshelves, preparing and cleaning up job sites, assembling furniture as needed, maintaining a safe and clean workspace, using hand and power tools daily, being responsible for assembly, disassembly, reassembly, and delivery/installation of modular office furniture systems, reviewing floor plans, space planning, problem-solving, troubleshooting, decision making, inspecting furniture for proper operability per manufacturer’s guidelines, and adhering to company policies, procedures, and protocols.
Additional Skills and Qualifications
1 year of hand and power tools experience
Ability to read a tape measure
Installing office furniture
Using hand and power tools to assemble office furniture such as desks, tables, and cabinets
Effective communication
Positive representation of the company
Work Environment
Work hours are from 7am to 4:00pm, Monday through Friday. Weekends are on a volunteer basis and will be planned 30 days in advance. The environment is customer-focused, with a commitment to completing projects on budget, on time, and with no hassle.
