Job Title: Chemical Mixer Operator

Job Description

As a Chemical Mixer Operator, you will process raw materials and chemicals according to batch records to create the final product. You will utilize various machines to measure raw materials, take samples for lab quality checks, and operate a crane to lift large chemical bags. You will also sign off on documents to confirm the correct type and amount of material added. This role requires physical activity, such as pushing materials using a large mixing device and climbing stairs to monitor tank levels. You must be open to performing other work-related duties as assigned. Due to chemical exposure, you will wear a full uniform and respirator mask.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Des Moines, Iowa.

Work Environment

This is a fully on-site position within a manufacturing facility in Des Moines, Iowa. You will work the 2nd shift from Monday to Friday, starting between 2 pm to 4 pm, for 8-10 hour shifts. The environment includes a chemical plant, where you may be near moving equipment, mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, chemicals, and biological hazards. The dress code includes uniforms, steel-toed boots, and hair nets, and you will be required to shower after your shift. Pay is $22.75/hr for the 2nd shift, with a $1.75 shift differential (holiday pay is $21/hr once full-time).
