Job Title: Machinist
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Machinist to join our team and contribute to the production of parts for equipment used in the mining industry. The ideal candidate will have expertise in CNC machining, an ability to read and understand blueprints and drawings, and experience with setting up and editing CNC machine programs.
Responsibilities
Machine parts for equipment used in the mining industry.
Read and understand blueprints and drawings to manufacture parts to specifications.
Set up and edit CNC machine programs, and/or milling machines and lathes using the proper equipment to ensure machines are set up correctly.
Perform daily maintenance of CNC/manual machinery.
Read, interpret, and follow standard operating procedures to ensure a consistent approach to manufacturing.
Hold prescribed tolerances using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
Understand and utilize programming software for applicable CNC machines.
Essential Skills
Two (2) years of experience in a machining role in a production environment.
Experience using measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and dial indicators.
Demonstrated experience in setup, programming, and operation of CNC machines and mills.
Understanding and experience in CNC programming.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with Master Cam is preferred.
Prior experience rigging and positioning heavy equipment using jib hoists/overhead cranes.
Ability to select and grind specialty tools for required tasks.
Full knowledge of working properties of different metals and alloys, and the proper cutting feeds and speeds to use with different types of cutting tools.
Prior experience reading and understanding blueprints to build products.

Work Environment
First shift from 6am-2:30pm Monday to Friday. The work environment is nostalgic, with older equipment that can sometimes be dirty. If you have questions about the environment, please ask.
