Overview

AMERISAFE is seeking a detail-oriented, productivity driven professional to add to our “Excellence Team” based in DeRidder, LA. The Asset Management Technician will support various functions in the IT Department principally related to the administration of all IT managed assets. Primary duties will include hardware inventory management, records and reporting management, telecommunications, managing supplies, purchasing support, audit support, limited technical support, and administrative support. Additional duties may be assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education a plus

• Strong computer skills including MS Office tools, desktop applications

• Ability to handle physical tasks such as lifting and moving equipment

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Meticulous attention to detail

• Precise records maintenance

• Strong organizational, reporting, and time management skills

• Knowledge of IT concepts and functions preferred

• Demonstrated customer-service orientation and attitude

• Demonstrated ability to thrive in dynamic environment

• Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team

• Willing to occasionally work extended hours, as duties require

Responsibilities

• Responsible for accurate hardware inventory and records maintenance in asset management system

• Responsible for proper issue and return of hardware

• Responsible for ordering and stocking IT supplies as needed

• Responsible for telecommunications bill breakouts and charge allocations

• Responsible for records and reporting management of shipping and receiving logs

• Responsible for providing support for telecommunications inquiries, purchasing, audit, IT administration, and limited technical as needed

• Responsible for lifting and moving computer equipment
