PlanITROI Sales Operations Manager in Denville, New Jersey

PlanITROI is seeking a proactive and strategic thinker to join our team as a Sales Operations Manager. The ideal candidate will manage multifaceted sales operations, leverage data for strategic insights, and drive improvements across the sales team. This role is critical in ensuring that the sales team is equipped with the necessary tools, training, and processes to achieve success. A detail-oriented and collaborative approach, along with a passion for optimizing processes, is essential for this position.

This role is remote on EST only.

Mission: The mission is to establish Salesforce (SFDC) as the single source of truth for our organization, enhancing operational efficiency and improving forecasting accuracy. We aim to integrate and optimize SFDC across all business units, providing tailored training and support to ensure widespread adoption and proficiency. By streamlining processes and leveraging advanced analytics, we will enable data-driven decision-making and foster cross-functional collaboration to drive growth and success in our sales and marketing efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Salesforce Administration: Manage Salesforce user accounts, perform data maintenance, and customize the platform to meet the sales team and organizational needs, ensuring optimal utilization.

  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Generate comprehensive reports and analyze sales data to provide actionable insights, support strategic decision-making, and enhance sales performance.

  • Data Management and Clean-Up: Clean up data residing in Pardot, Salesforce (SFDC), and Gong. Ensure tagging and segmentation are correct, remove bad data, and consistently refresh and audit data. Fix data segmentation issues between sales teams and marketing to ensure sales are working the right accounts and there is a specific plan for targeting the data specific to size, a sales role, and vertical.

  • Process Optimization: Streamline sales processes to boost efficiency and productivity, identifying bottlenecks and implementing solutions to improve workflows. Develop consistent processes to ensure attribution is being reported correctly. Refine Salesforce, Pardot, and marketing tagging/targeting processes.

  • Sales Enablement: Lead initiatives to equip the sales team with the necessary tools, training, and resources, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

  • Best Practices Development: Create and implement best practices to drive consistency and effectiveness across the sales organization, ensuring adherence to established standards

  • Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for improvement within sales operations, developing and implementing strategies to optimize efficiency and effectiveness continuously.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to align sales operations with overall business objectives, ensuring seamless integration and communication. Manage BDR to Field Sales workflows to create consistency, including creating best practices, strategy sessions, and implementing account maps for targeting top accounts. Project manage activities between PlanITROI and Marketing Agency.

  • Tool Management: Gong to optimize the tool and ensure sales teams are utilizing it effectively. Administer processes to enhance sales team efficiencies. Manage, execute, maintain, and optimize sales tools including but not limited to Pardot, Gong, and Zoom Info; Manage including training the sales team on best practices and utilization.

  • Territory Management: Work with sales teams to create sales plays related to top verticals and recent market trends in each territory. Align with the sales team to define the total addressable market related to target/prospect accounts and account penetration strategies.

  • Reporting and Analysis: Create a consistent reporting model through the entire marketing and sales funnel. Conduct quarterly business reviews providing insights on the entire marketing & sales funnel, making recommendations for increasing pipeline and sales velocity.

  • Communication and Support: Maintain work process flows by coordinating information and requirements with related marketing and sales stakeholders. Support the sales team with process improvement, measurement, tracking, and analytics relevant to their functional areas. Keep management informed by preparing reports, making presentations, interpreting information, and making recommendations. Work closely with the corporate marketing team and sales team to create/support communications and refine the coverage model. Enhance sales productivity by enabling the team to work smarter by simplifying processes.

    Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.

  • Salesforce Administration certification is required.

  • 5+ years in a sales operations or similar role, with proven experience in CRM administration and data analytics.

  • 3+ years of experience working with Demand Generation Programs.

  • Significant hands-on acumen with Salesforce and other sales tools.

  • Exceptional analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and generate actionable insights.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating effectively with diverse teams.

  • Past success in a B2B technology and services company a strong plus

  • Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional projects and driving initiatives to completion.

  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to continuous improvement and optimization.

  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
