Job Title: CNC Lathe Operator
Job Description
Work under the supervision of the Shop Supervisor. Set-up and operate one or more CNC lathes. Perform various operations such as turning, facing, boring, threading, and drilling. Select the proper tools for various operations and read blueprints to mark parts to specifications. Use measuring instruments such as micrometers, bore gauges, and scales to ensure proper sizes are machined. Adjust machine settings to maintain required sizes and understand various alarms and how to correct them. Follow basic machine tool safety procedures and perform daily machine maintenance. Experience with Fanuc, Siemens, and Haas CNC machines is preferred.

This is a contract for hire position with a duration of 720 Hour(s).
Work Site
This is a fully on-site position in Denver, Pennsylvania.
Work Environment
The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the office is usually moderate, but in the shop, the noise levels may be higher. The employee must wear steel-toed shoes, hearing, and eye protection while in the shop. The shop setting may be dirty, and 90% of the work involves the cutting and machining of graphite. The company has excellent air filtration and dust collection, but it can still be a very dirty environment.
