This role will be pivotal in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. This position is responsible for the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports, ensuring the integrity of general ledger maintenance and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and ensure accuracy in financial and regulatory reporting, including compliance with Call Report, QCD, Y9, FR2900, and PDPA requirements.

  • Manage and update the deferred tax, investment accounting, and CECL workbooks.

  • Execute daily general ledger entries and month-end closing processes.

  • Conduct and oversee balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly.

  • Provide cross-training and support as a backup for the accounting team.

  • Participate in the preparation and review of variance analyses and board reporting packages.

  • Conduct research and documentation for technical accounting issues and regulatory updates.

  • Prepare and analyze quarterly equity roll-forward and stock compensation plans.

  • Ensure the effectiveness of internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures.

  • Serve as the primary contact for internal and external audits.

  • Support the preparation of detailed footnotes and schedules for audited financial statements.

  • Monitor and manage liquidity and debt compliance.

  • Assist with federal, state, and local tax compliance and reporting.

  • Engage in special projects, ad hoc reporting, and analysis as needed.

  • Facilitate the testing and implementation of new systems, such as ERP upgrades.

  • Coordinate the month-end close process and other accounting activities.

qualifications:

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting; Master's Degree and CPA strongly preferred.

  • 4-9 years of progressive experience in accounting, preferably in banking or financial services.

  • Proficient in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.

  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage relationships with various stakeholders.

Previous Banking or Financial Services is strongly desired.

Office is located near Union Station in Downtown Denver.
