Red Hat Senior Solution Architect in Denver, Colorado

The Red Hat North America Telco team is looking for a Senior Solutions Architect preferably with experience covering major cable operators. The ideal candidate would reside in Denver, CO or Philadelphia, PA. In this role, you will help customers achieve their business objectives and help them understand how Red Hat's solutions will give them a business advantage. To identify and create the right business solutions, you'll need to have technical expertise, passion for open source, and a deep understanding of business processes and technology problems faced by cable operators.. As a Senior Solutions Architect, you'll also need to have excellent communication and people skills as you'll be a crucial part of the first impression that our customers will have with Red Hat.

What you will do

  • Support the Sales team with recommendations for development and implementation of complex offerings and solutions to help them achieve sales quotas

  • Meet revenue goals and deployment and service objectives while sustaining good relationships with existing and prospective customers

  • Build, design, and present complex solutions to customers

  • Collaborate with product teams and the Product Engineering, Professional Services, and Sales teams to ensure excellent customer experience with our offerings and solutions

  • Serve as a trusted subject matter expert for customers, gain trust of IT professionals, and build long-lasting relationships within our key accounts

  • Demonstrate expertise by delivering whitepapers and conference presentations; share knowledge with your team members to allow them to learn from your work

  • Discover and analyze the business and technical problems of our customers and connect these problems to the appropriate Red Hat’s solutions

  • Use your deep knowledge of our offerings to provide technical leadership to the Sales team and our customers through sales presentations and demonstrations of offerings

What you will bring

  • 5+ years of experience working as a sales engineer, consultant, solutions architect, or in a relevant role; experience working in presales for an enterprise-class business technology supplier

  • Knowledge of UNIX or Linux systems, preferably Red Hat platform offerings.

  • Knowledge of open source hybrid cloud solutions such as OpenStack and OpenShift

  • Knowledge of technologies like clustering, directory services, and identity management

  • Fluent written and verbal communication skills in English

  • Willingness to travel up to 50%

  • Deep understanding of one or more emerging technology areas like cloud platforms, DevOps, microservices, container management and orchestration, automation, or virtualization

  • Experience using system automation, orchestration, and management technologies like Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform and Red Hat Satellite or similar technologies like Puppet, Chef, and Salt

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with a record of developing relationships at technical, management, and executive levels

  • Familiarity with container and container orchestration technologies like Linux Containers Docker and Kubernetes and experience with Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform is a plus

  • Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA), Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE), or similar industry certifications are a plus

The salary range for this position is $162,950.00 - $260,830.00 (inclusive of base pay + target incentive compensation). Actual offer will be based on your qualifications.

Pay Transparency

Red Hat determines compensation based on several factors including but not limited to job location, experience, applicable skills and training, external market value, and internal pay equity. Annual salary is one component of Red Hat’s compensation package. This position may also be eligible for bonus, commission, and/or equity. For positions with Remote-US locations, the actual salary range for the position may differ based on location but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
