POSITION SUMMARY:

As a Senior Data Analyst, you will be a part of AE’s Global Operations team. Within the Global Operations function, you will support the data and analytics needs as the function is heading toward its digital transformation. As a highly motivated Sr. analyst, you will advocate data-driven decision-making. You will support internal teams in moving away from old working methods and mining insights. You will also help in the digital transformation journey by digitizing and automating some data extraction and preparation needs. You will get an excellent chance to understand the Supply Chain Operations in detail from the professionals and opportunities to learn and grow in the Analytics space. This role will be highly visible to the executive staff and will need to provide clear, actionable, data-driven insights that help drive the business forward. The Sr. Data Analyst will own the process from data wrangling up to the executive report out.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Engage with stakeholders (operational managers, senior executives) to understand the critical business question addressed through analytics

  • Lead discovery sessions and requirements workshops for business users and use business and information technology tools to evaluate in-scope value streams, business processes, or procedures where needed

  • Identify data sources; collect data through manual or automated means; source missing data; clean, transform and organize data into usable format/structure.

  • Where needed, develop, implement, and maintain databases or data systems with support from IT

  • Design, develop, and deploy reports and dashboards (data visualization), and generate business presentations and formal written reports to communicate the results of data analysis

  • Identify and analyze trends and patterns using statistical tools and generate information and insights from data sets to answer critical business questions

  • Support in data flow and process flow documentation and identify gaps

  • Support cloud initiatives and data asset migration with IT and internal teams

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Location: Denver, CO

  • Environment: Standard office setting

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Good understanding of Data Analytics & Business Intelligence Project lifecycle and proven experience in managing Business Intelligence Projects and exposure to project management tools like Jira and Atlas. (Must for the job)

  • Strong proficiency in SQL, Python; Can write SQL queries (e.g. Microsoft SQL, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL etc.) (Must for the job)

  • Firm grasp on advanced SQL aggregation functions, database performance concepts and query optimization techniques

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel or other spreadsheet software

  • Advance knowledge of data wrangling and data transformation techniques for cleaning up data and translating raw data into more usable forms. Hands-on experience for Tableau Prep or Alteryx or DataBricks will be a plus

  • Knowledge of Salesforce, SAP, and relevant data structure, extraction, preparation, and visualization tool. (e.g., SAP BW) as a plus

  • Good familiarity with data governance, master data, and metadata management.

  • Knowledge of Power Apps, Power Automate, and UI Path is also a significant plus but not a hard requirement for the role

EXPERIENCE:

Essential:

  • Experience working with senior business stakeholders

  • Must have proven experience with analytic and data visualization tool like Power BI

Preferred:

  • Experience with any Data Science techniques, Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing is a significant plus

  • Experience in Manufacturing or Supply Chain will be a significant plus for the role

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor of Science in relevant field (e.g. Data Science/Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, IT or other related technical field) or equivalent work experience.

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an analytics domain and a at least 6+ years of working experience.

COMPENSATION:

As required by multiple state pay transparency laws, Advanced Energy provides a reasonable range of compensation for each job posting. Actual compensation is influenced by an array of factors including, but not limited to, skill set, level of experience, and specific office location. The range of starting pay for this role is $95,000 to $115,000 per year.
