The salary range for this position is
$33.72 - $45.61 Hourly
$2,697.69 - $3,648.92 Biweekly
$5,845.00 - $7,906.00 Monthly

This unit exists to oversee the enforcement and compliance efforts of the FAMLI Division. The unit will consist of investigators ensuring employers are participating in the program as required by law and not engaging in any prohibited activities (such as retaliation or interference) and also investigating fraudulent claims for benefits, auditors reviewing employer records to ensure premiums are properly calculated and other enforcement staff. Auditors will ensure compliance with FAMLI statutes with Colorado employers by obtaining facts and data through the systematic examination of their books and records. The data may be used to verify the correct premium assessment, collecting missing premium reports, and make legal liability determinations concerning payments for services that were not properly classified as covered employment.
The ACE unit mitigates internal and external risk factors and conducts reviews of internal controls and establishes the creation of the FAMLI Division Risk Assessment report. This position will be a third Auditor III, Auditor In Charge, position within the ACE-Audits unit. This position will act as a Team Lead that will evenly distribute the audit Lead workload of the current 9 audit positions. Additionally, this position will be responsible for the internal control assessment responsibilities for the Family and Medical Leave Insurance (FAMLI) Division including conducting the control assessment and creation of the risk assessments for the FAMLI Division.
This position will help the FAMLI Division identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks to protect the integrity of FAMLI program by conducting comprehensive risk assessments, understanding various risk factors, and evaluating the impact of those risks on the FAMLI program. Through control assessments, the position helps ensure all internal controls for all FAMLI branches are in place and effective. This position will collaborate with all FAMLI branches to develop effective internal controls and other mitigation strategies. Additionally, this position will continually monitor risk factors and provide substantive risk reporting to Division Management. Finally, this position will present review findings to the Division Management, provide recommendations, and re-test controls on a set schedule.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience Only:
Seven (7) years of relevant experience in an occupation related to the work assigned to this position such as Control and or risk assessment experience, internal auditing, report writing and documentation
OR
Education and Experience:
A combination of related education and/or relevant experience in an occupation related to the work assigned equal to seven (7) years such as Control and or risk assessment experience, internal auditing, report writing and documentation
(Not Required but may be used as a substitution)
Current, valid licensure as a CPA from the Colorado Board of Accountancy or current, valid CIA certificate will substitute for five (5) years of the requirement
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in control documented risk assessment experience
Demonstrated internal auditing
Experience in report writing and documentation
Certified Risk Manager Certification/ Similar Certifications related to the job announcement such as a valid CIA certificate
Bilingual - Read , Write, Speak Spanish Language (Not Required)
