University Of Denver Recreational Winter Sports Strength & Conditioning Instructo in Denver, Colorado

Position Summary

The University of Denver is seeking a highly qualified and motivated Strength and Conditioning Instructor specializing in hockey, skating and skiing to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sports science, a passion for athletic performance, and a proven track record of working with athletes. This role involves designing and implementing training programs, conducting performance assessments, and providing guidance on nutrition and recovery strategies to optimize the performance of our athletes.

The duration of this position is 6 weeks, from October 14, 2024 to November 22, 2024.

This is a temporary, non-benefited position not to exceed 1,000 hours in a calendar year.

Essential Functions Develop and implement sport-specific strength and conditioning programs tailored to the needs of hockey, skating and skiing athletes. Create periodized training plans that align with the competitive calendar and individual athlete goals. Utilize a variety of training modalities including resistance training, plyometrics, speed and agility drills, and cardiovascular conditioning. Required Qualifications Experience working with winter sports athletes: hockey, skating, skiing Current Personal Training certification (i.e. ACE, NASM, NSCA) Current CPR/AED/First Aid certification Preferred Qualifications Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist Certification Work Schedule

This is a temporary (6 weeks), part-time position working weekday afternoons and evenings.

Hourly Range

The hourly range for this position is $40.00-$60.00.

The University of Denver has provided a compensation range that represents its good faith estimate of what the University may pay for the position at the time of posting. The University may ultimately pay more or less than the posted compensation range. The salary offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal salary equity considerations, and available market information, but not based on a candidate's sex or any other protected status.
