Deloitte Private Equity M&A IT Integration & Divestiture Senior Manager in Denver, Colorado
The US M&A and Restructuring (M&A/R) Offering Portfolio advises our client's as they seek to change the nature of their business and competitive position in the market through inorganic means (acquisitions, mergers, divestitures, and joint ventures). Work you'll do
As a Senior Manager, you will lead and deliver large, complex client engagements that identify, design, and implement creative business and technology solutions for large companies. Senior Managers provide corporate and private equity buyers with a broad continuum of integration and divestiture program management services to support mergers, acquisitions, carve-outs, and partnerships. You are expected to contribute to the firm's growth and development in a variety of ways:
Execute on multiple M&A Integration and Divestiture projects concurrently and working with Manager-level personnel to ensure excellence in project work.
Partner with senior executives to define how they employ M&A - in alignment with their corporate strategy - to drive profitable growth and enable them to compete effectively in their industry.
Participate in Business Development by developing and maintaining contact with top decision makers at key clients.
Perform the role of counselor and coach, provide input and guidance into the staffing process, actively participate in staff recruitment and retention activities, provide leadership and support for delivery teams and staff in local offices.
Mentor and develop staff through informal coaching and day-to-day project interactions. This includes working with global IT teams as applicable and may require work to be balanced across varying/multiple time zones.
Improve internal processes, and promote knowledge sharing in the team, by contributing to the community of practice, blogs, and other forms of market eminence. Develop "point- of-view" documents, participate in public speaking events, get published in industry periodicals.
The team
M&A IT advises, implements, and delivers transformative solutions to clients to optimize their IT activities due to a pending/completed transaction, restructuring and strategic cost transformation event. This team helps clients refocus their IT capabilities and identify their optimal Transaction and Transformation strategies. As the Next-Gen provider of M&A services, M&A IT uses Delivery Innovation, Cloud and Flexible Compute Services to enhance every aspect of IT within the M&A landscape. The team also provides subject matter knowledge across critical components of IT (e.g. infrastructure, applications, IT operations, IT finances and expenses, Active Directory, end-user computing, messaging, enterprise architecture, testing). Our practitioners perform business process analysis, mapping, and design for M&A projects focused on an IT work stream including IT infrastructure separation, data center migration, application integration/separation/rationalization, or IT synergies/cost reduction.

The Private Equity M&A Team serves as strategic advisors to private equity firms as they find ways to enhance investor return through activities such as portfolio rationalization analysis, market scans, diligence on the buy and sell side, and refining portfolio company operations. Our M&A solutions and services help private equity firms and their portfolio companies uncover, create, and drive value.
Qualifications
A candidate must have at least 6+ years of IT M&A or IT M&A Service Delivery Experience in the following areas:
Setting, leading, and delivering integration and divestiture engagement objectives by defining the scope, plan, and budget.
Developing work plans for components of engagements, coordinate activities between work streams and identify changes in scope.
Managing cross-functional teams to deliver M&A engagements across all of phases of the M&A lifecycle including due-diligence, pre-close, and post-merger integration.
Mobilizing and managing multiple engagement teams / workstreams.
Providing industry insight and analytical support using data mining, pattern matching, data visualization, and predictive modelling tools to produce analysis and algorithms that enables pre-deal and post-deal integration, divestiture, and major restructuring/cost transformation activities to achieve/exceed deal value, synergy targets, or strategic cost takeout objectives.
Management of day-to-day interactions with executive clients and sponsors; develop and maintain contact with top decision makers at key clients.
Leading and delivering aspects of the proposal development process; contributing to the development of proposal pricing strategies.
Experience in integration, divestiture, and/or joint venture standup execution.
6+ years of experience in at least one area of Information Technology providing depth in that area.
6+ years working within Private Equity.
Bachelor's degree and 8+ years consulting and/or industry experience; alternatively an MBA with 6+ years relevant work experience is acceptable.
Ability to travel up to 50% on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.
Limited immigration sponsorship may be available.
Preferred
Knowledge of Cloud Migration/Standup is a plus.
Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills (MS Visio, MS PowerPoint) and executive presence.
Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment.
Apply practical experience with communications, culture, and change management.
Experience with staff development and eagerness to mentor junior practitioners.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple task assignments.
An advanced degree is preferred.

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $203,400 to $339,000.
You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
