Job Summary

Denver Health Medical Center is recruiting for a PRN OBGYN provider to join our Obstetrics and Gynecology group. This position will fill in on an as needed basis. Provide medical care related to pregnancy or childbirth. Diagnose, treat, and help prevent diseases of women, particularly those affecting the reproductive system. May also provide general care to women. May perform both medical and gynecological surgery functions.

Essential Functions:

Collect, record, and maintain patient information, such as medical histories, reports, or examination results. (25%) Treat diseases of female organs. (25%) Care for and treat women during prenatal, natal, and postnatal periods. (25%) Prescribe or administer therapy, medication, and other specialized medical care to treat or prevent illness, disease, or injury. (10%) Perform cesarean sections or other surgical procedures as needed to preserve patients' health and deliver babies safely. (10%) Participate in or support education and research (5%)

Education: Doctorate Degree Graduate of an accredited medical school Required

Licenses: MD-Physician - State Medical Board Required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of and ability to apply professional medical principles, procedures and techniques. Thorough knowledge of pharmacological agents used in patient treatment. Able to effectively manage and direct medical staff support activities while providing quality medical care. Able to receive detailed information through oral communications; express or exchange ideas by verbal communications. Excellent written and verbal communications, listening, and social skills. Able to interact effectively with people of varied educational, socioeconomic and ethnic backgrounds, skill levels and value systems. Performs in a tactful and professional manner. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Computer skills required.
