The Manager, Health Equity Strategy and Innovation will work on high priority, high visibility initiatives in a rapidly evolving area within DaVita and in healthcare more broadly. Collaborate with a cross-functional team of clinical, operating, and business leaders across DaVita, and help chart the path toward a healthier tomorrow for all. This position plays a key role as a thought partner, executor, and internal consultant in developing solutions to reduce outcome disparities between patient populations. Topics will likely include:

Insight generation through a rigorous understanding of data, trends, and qualitative information

Development and operationalizing of national and local health equity strategies, potentially including supporting/leading pilot and program launches

Initiation and/or support of national partnerships to impact barriers within DaVita's scope of influence (potentially including but not limited to social drivers of health)

Advancement of DaVita's health equity policy strategy in partnership with other teams

Responsibilities (including but not limited to)

Works closely with clinical teammates and develops long-standing relationships with operators, clinicians, and others

Leverages hypotheses-based approach to identify, validate and quantify opportunities in partnership with clinical and business leadership

Analyze data, provide insights, and structure presentations to tell a meaningful story and support decision making

Leverages continuous improvement tools to structure and incubate improvement opportunities

Organize follow up, documentation, and tracking to ensure progress and proactively identify risks and opportunities

Begins to manage and coordinate new initiatives from idea generation to implementation: new clinical program/ initiative design and development, training and communication materials development, pilot facilities support (training, communication, tracking and follow-up), pilot results review and evaluation, development of field and physician communications, training tools and the facilitation of Village wide implementation

Synthesize quantitative and qualitative data to make meaningful proactive and reactive policy/advocacy recommendations

Presentation skills: Comfortable putting together storylines in PowerPoint

Problem solving skills: Ability to structure ambiguous problems, think creatively, generate and test hypotheses

Data Analysis & Interpretation skills: Ability to do basic data manipulation and digest information in available dashboards to assess performance and opportunities, and structure additional analytical asks

An awareness and appreciation of the spectrum of circumstances DaVita patients face, a d the various factors that contributed to their occurrence

High energy and ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Bachelor's degree required
