Job Summary: Huitt-Zollars has a great full-time opportunity for a Hydraulic/Hydrology Engineer at our Denveroffice. Preference is a PE, willing to accept EIT as well, with minimum of 3 years of experience.Experience in the Denver area is desired. The role will work collaboratively in a team environment providing drainage analysis modeling and design for public infrastructure and transportation projects.

Location: Denver, CO Employment Type: 40 FT Hours Compensation Type: Salary Registration(s): PE or EIT Education: Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (BSCE). Duties/Responsibilities: Prepare hydrologic and hydraulic models using a wide range of models, including HEC-RAS & HEC-HMS. Prepare hydrologic and hydraulic studies and FEMA permitting Research jurisdictional drainage requirements for appropriate incorporation into design and construction drawings. Oversee production of drainage design and construction drawings using AutoCAD & MicroStation Perform data management and prepare exhibits using ArcGIS and QGIS. Work as a member of a multi-discipline team. Mentor EIT staff regarding hydrologic and hydraulic theory and practice Conduct site visits and document findings. Write and coordinate preparation of graphic materials for presentations and documents. Qualifications: Prefer PE, willing to accept EIT as well BS. Degree in Civil Engineering Minimum 3 years' drainage engineering Profiecient in Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Strong organizational and Communication Skills Works well in a Team Environment Thorough attention to detail Strong knowledge of construction means, methods and techniques Ability to prepare civil engineering documents and specifications for projects Competencies: Acquires, understands, and applies technical and professional knowledge and skills to perform job effectively, efficiently, and safely. Understands and adheres to Huitt-Zollars policies and procedures. Stays abreast of trends and pending changes within assigned area of responsibility. Establishes, enforces, and drives policies that promotes Company vision and culture to achieve company objectives. Strong business acumen.
