The Human Services team Business Analyst will work on a range of projects on PCG’s Child and Family Services Business Line. Duties will include supporting projects with quantitative and qualitative analysis, research, writing a range of documents (e.g., client reports, PowerPoint presentations, project plans, policies and procedures, and client proposals), and communicating with a wide range of audiences, both clients and internal to PCG. The Business analyst will work in a deadline-oriented, fast-paced environment, and will need to be able to work effectively both in teams and independently. The Business analyst will be required to pay close attention to detail in his/her daily work while maintaining adherence to internal and external deadlines.

While the Business analyst will focus primarily on child and family services projects, he/she, over time, will also gain experience across a range of human services projects (e.g., aging and disability, behavioral health, child care, and early education/intervention) while developing sophisticated consulting skills and abilities designed to position him/her for broader and deeper roles. The ideal candidate excels in the collection and analysis of both quantitative and qualitative data and has proven his or her ability to manage competing priorities and multiple work streams. The Business analyst should have a passion for doing high-quality work, continuously learning and improving, effectively communicating both verbally and in writing, analyzing data, and contributing to reports that regularly exceed clients' expectations.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conducts business analysis for the various business platform.

  • Prepares and presents parts of written status reports for clients.

  • Completes analysis on large data sets.

  • Develops competency in enterprise IT system analysis and development.

  • Develops competency in federal and state policy, specifically federal funding requirements.

  • Assists with the implementation of major project phases or tasks.

  • Participates on proposal writing teams, including writing and coordinating submissions.

  • Assists with preparation of other written reports, major deliverables, and other materials for clients.

  • Collects and enters project related data.

  • Assists in the development and maintenance of project budgets and prepare client invoices.

  • Other responsibilities as necessary.

  • IIBA and/or PMI certifications a plus.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required

  • 1-3 years of relevant work experience in consulting, IT or other relevant field.

Compensation for roles at Public Consulting Group varies depending on a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by applicable law, PCG provides the following reasonable range of compensation for this role: $52,200 - $65,000 . In addition, PCG provides a range of benefits for this role.

Compensation for roles at Public Consulting Group varies depending on a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by applicable law, PCG provides the following reasonable range of compensation for this role below. In addition, PCG provides a range of benefits for this role, including medical and dental care benefits, 401k, PTO, parental leave, bereavement leave.
