This role is part of the Lunar Permanence business unit, which develops Blue Origin's multiple Blue Moon lander product lines. To further Blue Origin's mission of having millions of people living and working in space, we are building sustainable infrastructure for our transport of crew and cargo from Earth to the lunar surface. In addition to our MK1 Pathfinder mission our MK2 Crew Lander mission will demonstrate the lander's core capabilities - including the privately funded BE-7 landing engine, precision landing sensors, and integrated power and propulsion architecture - as a precursor to certifying the vehicle for use by NASA as part of the Artemis lunar exploration program. The team building this vehicle is rethinking how space systems are designed, with a high-performance architecture, efficient reusability, and rapid design iteration. Blue Origin is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Fluids and Propulsion IPT Lead. In this role, you will have the unique opportunity to lead the development of high-performance fluids and propulsion subsystems for our Lunar vehicles. As part of our Lunar Permanence business unit, you will be contributing to the development of sustainable infrastructure for crew and cargo transport to the lunar surface.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Lead the Fluids and Propulsion IPT within Lunar Product Engineering to deliver high-performance fluids and propulsion subsystems for Lunar vehicles. Define, specify, and develop hardware to meet mission objectives and satisfy requirements while balancing cost, schedule, and risk. Drive the design, analysis, and testing of mechanical and fluids systems. Recruit, hire, manage, and mentor a diverse, equitable, and inclusive team. Create effective plans that achieve desired results and adhere to important performance metrics.
