Supervises: 3 Exhibitor Services Coordinators

FLSA Status: Salaried Exempt

Compensation: Compensation is dependent on experience and rages from $60,000 to $67,000.

General Summary:

Manages Exhibitor Service; including the daily direction, scheduling and development of the Exhibitor Services Staff. Perform work of moderate difficulty directing and coordinating utility services to facility users during scheduled events at the Colorado Convention Center aiding in floor management and coordination. Performs all event closes from utility services, auditing orders, and generates reports used to assist the finance department with final billing and end of month/year accounting.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversees day to day activities of the Exhibitor Service Coordinators.

  • Oversees financial performance of Exhibitor Services.

  • Plan, schedule, direct, and manage the work of the Exhibitor Services Staff. Focus on proper scheduling of the Exhibitor Services Desk during multiple events and coordination and exhibit floor management.

  • Oversee the handling, routing, calculations, and posting of all incoming data concerning the provision of electrical, telecommunications, and gas/water/drain for all users of the Colorado Convention Center.

  • Maintain accurate billing of the telecommunications lines and electrical within the facility.

  • Resolve normal and unusual problems with clients, users, technicians and suppliers before, during and after each event using open communication and critical thinking skills.

  • Attend appropriate planning, organization and other facility meetings in support of facility operations and finance forecasting / re-forecasting.

  • Meet with prospective clients to develop utility usage plans for the facility.

  • Conduct and direct research and industry reviews regarding facility utility services.

  • Coordinate with internal departments providing the utility services to ensure successful utility services.

  • Analyze collected data and prepare recommendations for charged rates, policies, procedures and materials related to utility services supplied by the Colorado Convention Center.

  • Maintain the on-line portion of the Exhibitor Services website for usability and proper pricing.

  • Provide employee training for staff development and updates with regards to policy/procedure. This is ongoing and serves to increase the level of customer service at the Colorado Convention Center.

  • Submit operating budgets and track compliance to these budgets.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university or equivalent work experience is required.

  • Three to five years customer service experience preferred.

  • Arena/Facility/CVB experience helpful.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Familiar with basic accounting procedures.

  • Requires efficient typing skills, general office skills and knowledge of computing systems.

  • Ability to undertake and complete multiple tasks.

  • Excellent organizational, planning and inter-personal skills.

  • Ability to provide leadership and efficiently manage people.

  • Demonstrate excellent communication (verbal and written) and inter-personal skills among all levels of staff and clientele.

  • Ability to speak, understand, and read standard English.

Computer Skills:

  • Intermediate computer skills including ability to create word documents and excel spreadsheets.
