Mott MacDonald Group Electrical Engineering Manager in Denver, Colorado

The Electrical Engineering Manager will join Mott MacDonald's Energy Networks team and will contribute to existing electrical engineering matters and projects relating to energy. In some instances, you may also be required to also act as the Project Principal on key projects of significant importance. Attention to internal procedures including financial status reports, project reviews and risk register is an integral part of the role along with ensuring relevant Health and Safety risks are identified, made known to the project team and properly managed.

The responsibilities of the position will be varied, but the types of projects you will support include: Feasibility Studies Optioneering Studies Specification preparation Technical Bid Review Detailed design Design Assurance Design Review Site and FAT visits Site pre commissioning and commissioning oversight supervision Due Diligence Technical expert services Supporting business planning and skills development

We invite applications from candidates with the following experience: Significant knowledge of electrical engineering as it relates to the Energy sector such as electrical transmission, electrical distribution, substations, protection and controls, renewables, electrical studies, SCADA, instrumentation, automation and controls with 20+ years' experience. Has demonstrated thought leadership and project delivery with a notable market profile, including winning significant size assignments. Has experience of working with OEMs, Contractors, and Consultants. Excellent communication skills, including listening, presenting, and writing, both in the language of the Sector and in plain English. Proven ability to develop a sense of community and to collaborate in the building of successful project delivery teams, fostering the concept of one-team working across business units and regions involved in electrical engineering. Is passionate about the subject and prepared to develop a leading market profile to help achieve the Initiative objectives and become a prime contact point on behalf of the Group. A professional engineer with an active PE license in the United States.
