Position Summary: As a member of the Data Exchange team in the Aetna IT Organization, you will be responsible for building data engineering pipelines aimed at connecting clients with their data, primarily using platforms like Hadoop and GCP. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including analysts, business SME’s, other data engineers, and Account Management teams to ensure the efficient and reliable processing, storage and retrieval of data.

What you will do:

Build pipelines to extract customer data and create customized data extracts for customers. Manage workloads in Hadoop and Cloud technologies Manage the production of existing pipelines Data Analysis: Do deep dives into data for troubleshooting, trending and analysis

Required Qualifications · 2-5 years of progressively complex related experience in data engineering and data analysis· Knowledge in programing languages such as Python, SQLPreferred Qualifications

· Ability to leverage multiple tools and programming languages to analyze and manipulate datasets from disparate data sources

Knowledge in Hadoop architecture, HDFS commands and experience designing & optimizing queries against data in the HDFS environment

· Ability to understand complex systems and solve challenging analytical problems· Experience with bash shell scripts, UNIX utilities & UNIX Commands· Deep understanding of data warehousing, data architecture, and data modeling methods & best practices

Education

· Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Economics, Physics, Engineering, or related discipline

Master’s degree preferred

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$72,100.00 - $144,200.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
