About The Job

The Red Hat Public Sector Consulting team is looking for an Architect to design and deliver strategic solutions that solve our clients’ business challenges, through technical leadership, hands-on implementation, and enablement of recommended practices. In this position, you will play a key role as a promoter of the adoption of Red Hat's solutions for our customers by using your technical expertise, and interpersonal skills. You’ll need to have a balance of solid technical experience, team leadership, awareness of open source, thorough understanding of business processes, and the ability to identify and solve issues at the enterprise level.

What You Will Do

• Lead customers to design technical implementation–by understanding their requirements–that are scalable, optimally managed, and adaptable using Red Hat technological solutions

• Build solutions that adapt to the customer’s culture in the design and delivery of their projects and actively pursue opportunities for improvement

• Grow an open, inclusive culture through collaboration and thought leadership, both in day-to-day client delivery and internal Red Hat improvement initiatives

• Continuously learn, grow, and adapt to new skills and technologies

After joining Red Hat, You will undergo an intensive customized training program on Red Hat technologies and services solutions. Here's how your skill set will evolve and what you'll learn during your first year in the role:

In two months, be prepared to join a project team by acquiring the following:

• Learn Red Hat technologies through enablements designed and taught by Red Hat experts and Red Hat certification

• Bring together your existing technical and leadership experience with new knowledge of Red Hat technologies to design and lead solutions for customers

• Gain exposure and collaboration within Red Hat Customer Success & the larger organization through networking and community events

• Successful, collaborative delivery of customer projects as a technical lead through expertise on Red Hat’s technologies

Within six months, be ready to implement a project by attaining the following:

• Working with sales/account teams to build technical roadmaps for customers who have not yet committed to a Red Hat solution

• Continue expanding your knowledge and network, both internal and external, through enablement, communities, customers, and meetups

• Impact Red Hat by identifying areas of opportunity internally and leading efforts to improve; such as developing standard solutions, simplifying processes, participating in interviews, etc.

Within 12 months, begin to demonstrate technical leadership by accomplishing the following:

• Successfully implementing complex, large-scale solutions in customer environments

• Active engagement and knowledge sharing with our internal and external communities of practice on lessons learned, best practices, and how-tos

What You Will Bring

• US Citizenship is required to fulfill government contracts

• Track record for creating architectural designs and leading a team on implementation toward successful customer outcomes

• Demonstrated ability to oversee project delivery including collaborating on project timelines and scope of work, identifying stakeholder needs and setting expectations

• Experience working collaboratively across diverse teams and stakeholders

• An ability and desire to mentor and has experience with mentoring and coaching team members

• Experience leading teams of five or more in workshops, enablement, or engagements

• Willingness to travel to customer locations a minimum of 25% of the time

• Must have scoping experience for Red Hat projects

• Utilized the 3pt scoping template

• Presented a 3pt scope in the PPR

• Led scopes as the facilitator

• Delivered and presented an approach doc

• Ansible and/or OpenShift experience at an expert level

• Deployed the product in a customer setting

• Delivered a workshop on aspects of the product

• Expert-level Ansible Automation Platform knowledge to include:

• Management of the platform using Configuration as Code

• Experience using CI/CD pipelines to lint, test, and deploy production-ready playbooks

• Experience integrating multiple teams on the platform using role-based access control allowing both segregated job templates and collaborative workflow templates

• An expert level understanding of RHEL

• Package management systems

• Network

• Hard drive/partitions

• System hardening

• RHEL authentication and authorization mechanisms

• Experience performing RHEL migrations/upgrades including the use of LEAPP

• The ideal candidate will also have experience with:

• OpenShift Virtualization

• OpenShift Dev Spaces for Ansible

• Ansible Molecule

• Event Driven Ansible

• Migration of RHEL systems from other OS platforms, including Ubuntu, CentOS, Solaris,HPUX

The salary range for this position is $111,260.00 - $183,580.00. Actual offer will be based on your qualifications.

Pay Transparency

Red Hat determines compensation based on several factors including but not limited to job location, experience, applicable skills and training, external market value, and internal pay equity. Annual salary is one component of Red Hat’s compensation package. This position may also be eligible for bonus, commission, and/or equity. For positions with Remote-US locations, the actual salary range for the position may differ based on location but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
