Are you a strategic problem-solver with a proven track record of driving operational excellence? Join our AWS Customer Optimization and Acceleration (AGS CO&A) Sales & Process Specialist (SPS) team and contribute to expanding this crucial program.

In this role, as a Sales & Process Specialist, you'll be collaborate to expand the reach and impact of the SPS initiative, onboarding new geographies and customer segments while continuously enhancing the self-service capabilities that empower our AWS Account Managers (AMs) to focus on revenue-driving activities. Leveraging your keen analytical skills and cross-functional expertise, you'll identify strategic opportunities to optimize the AWS Seller and Customer Experience, partnering with product, technology, and other teams to resolve persistent operational challenges.

Key job responsibilities

Spearhead the Expansion and Evolution of the SPS Program

  • Collaborate on the onboarding and integration of the SPS program in new geographies and customer segments

  • Collaborate with existing SPS Specialists to refine workflows, develop self-service tools, and deliver engaging enablement sessions

  • Continuously monitor program metrics and customer insights to uncover opportunities for improvement

Become a Trusted Strategic Advisor for AWS AMs

  • Dive deep into the most complex customer queries, escalations, and operational issues to devise tailored resolutions

  • Establish yourself as a subject matter expert in high-impact support areas like account reinstatements and service limit increases

  • Foster strong relationships with AMs to understand their evolving needs and pain points

  • Leverage your strategic perspective to identify innovative solutions that streamline operations and unlock greater efficiency

Drive Cross-Functional Collaboration to Resolve Persistent Issues

  • Collaborate with product, technology, and other teams to address recurring operational challenges at the root cause

  • Champion the ongoing enhancement of the AWS seller and customer experiences

  • Communicate program updates and recommendations to key stakeholders, securing buy-in and support

A day in the life

As a Sales & Process Specialist, you'll be at the forefront of driving the continuous expansion and strategic evolution of our crucial SPS program. Your days will be filled with a diverse array of impactful responsibilities, from leading cross-functional meetings to diving deep into complex customer challenges. Whether you're onboarding new SPS Specialists and collaborating on the rollout of the program in a new geographical region, or applying your keen problem-solving skills to devise tailored resolutions for the most intricate operational issues, your work will have a direct impact on empowering our AWS Account Managers (AMs) to focus on revenue-driving activities. Leveraging your position as a trusted strategic advisor, you'll also foster deep relationships with AMs to gain insights into their evolving needs and pain points, identifying innovative ways to streamline their day-to-day activities.

About Sales, Marketing and Global Services (SMGS)

AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of Microsoft Excel experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

  • Experience with sales CRM tools such as Salesforce or similar software

  • Experience defining, refining and implementing sales processes, procedures and policies or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of finance, business management and sales operations experience

  • Experience working within a high-growth, technology company

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $79,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $169,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
