University Of Denver Club Women's Volleyball Coach in Denver, Colorado

osition Overview

The University of Denver is seeking a passionate and experienced Club Women's Volleyball Coach to lead and develop our women's club volleyball team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of coaching experience, demonstrate strong leadership skills, and possess a deep understanding of the game. This role requires availability during evenings and weekends and the flexibility to travel for club games.

This is a part-time, non-benefited position not to exceed 1,000 hours in a calendar year.

Essential Functions

Plan, organize, and conduct practice sessions to improve players' skills, techniques, and overall team performance. Develop and implement effective game strategies and tactics. Foster a positive and inclusive team environment that promotes sportsmanship, teamwork, and personal growth. Provide mentorship and guidance to student-athletes, supporting their academic and athletic development. Manage game-day operations, including player rotations, in-game adjustments, and post-game analysis. Accompany the team to club games and tournaments. Ensure the safety and well-being of all team members during practices, games, and travel. Communicate regularly with club officers and University staff regarding team activities, schedules, and administrative matters. Maintain compliance with University policies and guidelines related to club sports.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Strong knowledge of volleyball techniques, rules, and strategies. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work evenings and weekends. Willingness to travel for club games and tournaments. Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive team culture.

Required Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of volleyball coaching experience, preferably at the club, high school or collegiate level. First Aid and Concussion Training certifications

Preferred Qualifications

CPR certification

Work Schedule

Part-Time, evenings and weekends.

Hourly Range

The hourly range for the position is $20.00-$30.00.

The University of Denver has provided a compensation range that represents its good faith estimate of what the University may pay for the position at the time of posting. The University may ultimately pay more or less than the posted compensation range. The salary offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal salary equity considerations, and available market information, but not based on a candidate's sex or any other protected status.
