The following positions within Inpatient Adolescent Psychiatry, Inpatient Adult Psychiatry, Psychiatric Emergency Services, CARES, and Outpatient Behavioral Health Services are offering the opportunity to enroll in a new program offering a cash incentive to recognize your work treating patients with substance use disorders. This program is sponsored through the ACCESS (Advancing Careers, Competencies, and Equity in Substance Treatment Services) grant. Employees must be >0.6 FTE to be eligible. 50% of the bonus will be received 90 days after signing the program contract.

• Registered Nurses (RNs) may earn up to $7,500 by December 2024
• Behavioral Health Technicians (BHTs) may earn up to $3,500 by December 2024
• Care Navigators may earn up to $3,500 by December 2024

Job Summary

The Psychologist provides doctoral level integrated behavioral health services as a Behavioral Health Consultant (BHC) and functions as a key member of the primary care medical team. The BHC abides by guidelines and expectations specific to the clinic in which they provide patient care. Services will be provided in the Ambulatory Care Services (ACS) clinic(s) with a focus on therapeutic interventions across the lifespan. Services include expert diagnostic assessment and brief evidence-based treatment for psychiatric disorders and assessing psychosocial factors in patients with chronic medical conditions as well as substance abuse screening. The psychologist strives to create a positive customer service experience by committing to highest standards set forth by Denver Health. The psychologist provides case management and consultation, case coordination to facilitate referrals to specialty care, and crisis intervention. The psychologist is actively involved in quality improvement, data monitoring, and research projects. Essential Functions:

Provide high quality clinical services to individuals referred to behavioral health, including short-term evidence-based behavioral health interventions and support services. (10%) Provide services that are appropriate to the age and developmental level of the patient. (10%) Consult with providers as part of the interdisciplinary team and generate recommendations, referrals, and case management as needed. (10%) Conduct brief diagnostic screening of patients using evidence-based assessments and screening tools. (10%) Provide health behavior change interventions using Motivational Interviewing. (10%) Conduct in-depth diagnostic assessment as needed. (5%) Conduct safety and risk assessment as needed. (5%) Generate documentation of assessment and intervention in the medical record in a timely manner. (5%) Actively participate in regular team meetings and huddles of the interdisciplinary team at primary care clinic. (5%) Participate in Integrated Behavioral Health Division meetings to maintain cohesion and improve awareness of department functioning. (5%) Participates or provides leadership of department, agency, or community meetings as well as internal Denver Health workgroups. (5%) Participate in teaching and didactics as part of the training faculty of the Division of Psychology for psychology pre-doctoral residents and practicum students. Doctorate Degree in psychology from an accredited school Required Work Experience:

Advanced knowledge and skills in effective psychological practice in primary care medical settings, including evidence-based, brief therapy modalities, crisis intervention, and risk assessment.
