Job Summary and Qualifications

• You will perform comprehensive nursing assessmentsregardingthe health status of the patient, following standards of care and disease specific protocols.

• You will plan,implementand evaluate patient care plans tooptimizeoutcomes and maximize available resources.

• You will provide direct nursing care and supervise non-licensed nursing staff within the RN’s scope of practice andin accordance withestablished policies.

• You will provide education and emotional supportappropriate toage, culture, condition, and circumstance and incorporate patient / family teaching into all aspects of nursing practice.

What qualifications you will need:

• Texas State RN license or compact license required.

• DIP/ADN required, BSN preferred.

• Advanced Nursing Certification encouraged.

• Current BLS and ACLS required by AHA or ARC.

• Minimum 2 years in specialty units may require specific experience and additional certifications.

• Professional Nursing Organization Membership encouraged
