Works at the North Texas Physical Management Center (NTPMC). The OET II is supervised by the NTPMC Supervisor with limited latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgement. Essential Job FunctionsConstruct, modify, repair seating systems and/or other projects using the most safe method, least cost method (labor and material), producing the most durable product, and providing maximum consumer satisfaction. Assess feasibility of in-house design and fabrication/modification of adaptive equipment. Share new ideas and completed project design with others. Use varied media (catalogs, web sites, etc.) to research product information. Provide quality assurance, including quality checks, preventative maintenance, ongoing training. Promote safety, health and well-being of employees and consumers, and implement/monitor safety program at the NTPMC. Follow policies and procedures. Ensure state property within area of responsibility is accounted for and maintained in proper working condition. Complete special projects successfully.Other duties as assigned include but are not limited to actively participating and/or serving in a supporting role to meet the agencyand#146;s obligations for disaster response and/or recovery or Continuity of Operations (COOP) activation.
