Principal Accountabilities

  • Follows ALL Safety Guidelines / Practices.

  • Utilize Fork Truck to move & stage material / equipment, understands Pallet Weight Restrictions.

  • Perform MPulse CMMS transactions, as required.

  • Perform Housekeeping / TPEM / 5S, as required.

  • Repairs / Maintains various forms of Power Transmission Equipment.

  • Ability to read blueprints, plans, and layout work.

  • Fabricate simple brackets, supports, & fixtures.

  • Operate Hand / Power Tools.

  • Able to work at heights up to and including 60ft. (Silo work)

  • Disassembles & repairs equipment using a variety of small & large hand tools.

  • Disassembles repairs, maintains, tests, and reassembles production and production support equipment.

  • This activity occurs from the work order basic, mechanical & electrical perspectives.

  • Performs the following Job Training Matrices: Work Order Basic, Mechanical, & Electrical.

  • Responsible for maintaining Spare Parts Inventory.

  • Inspects maintenance work to ensure quality.

  • Perform maintenance troubleshooting.

  • Performs PM’s, repair, & project work.

  • Completely & accurately documents all PM, repair & project work on the appropriate work orders.

  • Disposes of all Waste Materials properly.

  • Prioritizes maintenance work, as required.

  • Works alternate shift / hour arrangements, as production schedule(s) dictate.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Seeks downtime required work & takes advantage of unplanned downtime to accomplish work.

  • Requisitions and / or purchases materials needed for repairs & preventive maintenance.

  • Erects scaffolding & ladders for assembling or working on structures above ground.

  • Solicits input from other maintenance mechanics, regarding mechanical needs.

  • Updates old plant equipment. Participates in new product / machine design with outside contractors or maintenance staff. Analyzes machine intention, cost, and performance.

  • Runs miscellaneous errands, as needed, for maintenance department.

  • Recommends additions and / or deletions to inventory of equipment & PM tasking in the CMMS system.

  • Recommends additions or changes to reports extracted from the CMMS system.

Knowledge / Skills / Experience

  • Associates Degree in Maintenance Technology or previous equivalent work experience.

  • Must possess work order basic, mechanical, & electrical skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to operate a Forklift.

  • Excellent math skills.

  • Good computer skills.

  • History of Safe Working Behaviors.

  • Ability to read Blueprints.

  • Complete understanding of Quality Control.

  • Must possess own hand tools.

  • Demonstrated measurement skills; ability to use various measuring devices with above-average accuracy.

  • Must be willing to work modified shift schedule(s), as production schedules dictate.

Pay Transparency (complete highlighted sections)

  • The salary range for this position is $22.20- $28.89. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered. This salary will be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.
