The MOSAIC Program Assistants will work closely with the Coordinator of the Multicultural Center to support the success of campus programs and initiatives. Students will gain skills in leadership, management, planning, public speaking, event execution, diversity, ethics, multiculturalism and social justice. This position welcomes applicants with an interest in enriching the experiences of historically underserved and marginalized communities.

MOSAIC Program Assistants will:

-Maintain a positive, active and inclusive presence in the Multicultural Center while demonstrating responsibility and respect for others' rights, perspectives, feelings, and diverse backgrounds.

-Model positive social behaviors such as integrity, punctuality, work ethic, compassion, creativity, and open-mindedness

-Plan and implement at least two programs (one educational and one social) each semester related to any diversity and inclusion topic, this includes outreach and marketing materials of programs and events.

-Serve as a leader while engaging with students and groups who visit and utilize the MOSAIC space.

-Work some evening and weekend hours to keep the MOSAIC Center open as often as possible to meet the needs of all students.

-Work with student organizations to increase the number of programs being run out of the MOSAIC center.

-Attend large scale campus events to educate the campus community about MOSAIC, and work prospective student events to promote MOSAIC.

-Attend any and all trainings throughout the academic year as requested by the Coordinator of the Multicultural Center and/or the Interim Chief Diversity Officer.

Job Requirements:

-Have and maintain a minimum of 2.0 cumulative GPA.

-Be in current and maintain good judicial standing with no significant judicial history.

-Be a current, matriculated student.

-A general understanding of graphic design software for marking material development.

Additional Information:

Salary: $15/hr

Hours: up to 10 hrs/wk with at least 2-3 evening/night hours
