Stetson University Temporary Part-Time Health Sciences Junior Lab Manager TT2215 in DeLand, Florida
The Health Sciences Junior Lab Manager will have a start date of August 12, 2024 and will continue until May 16, 2025 or until position is filled. The Junior Lab Manager works as part of the administrative staff within the Health Science Department in the College of Arts & Sciences to provide an excellent level of service to the faculty, students, staff and administration. Work activities are primarily focused on laboratory courses and facilities.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Employment duties include, but are not limited to:
Primary responsibility is to set up/break down and assist in Anatomy & Physiology labs for the 2024-2025 academic year, specifically A&P I labs (HLSC 201-L1/7342 and HLSC 201-L2/7343) and A&P II labs (HLSC 202-L1/8202 and HLSC 202-L2/8203)
Responsible for ensuring that all A&P I and II labs are properly equipped with appropriate inventory for the A&P I and II lab sessions for 2024-2025, which includes but is not limited to inventory, ordering supplies, organizing the lab materials, and making sure all equipment is working properly
Responsible for attending training sessions to update the Anatomage Table and iWorkx systems
Work closely with A&P faculty on planning of lab sessions including training on Anatomage Table and iWorkx systems and preparation of lab manuals/documents
Set up/break down and assist in Advanced Anatomy lab experiences both on campus (Sage 161) and at UCF COM Anatomy Lab (cadaver lab work)
Ensure that all Advanced Anatomy labs are properly equipped with appropriate inventory for the Advanced Anatomy lab sessions for 2024-2025, which includes but is not limited to inventory, ordering supplies, organizing the lab materials, and making sure all equipment is working properly
Act as a point of contact for HLSC faculty regarding use of the labs; act as a point of contact for administrative assistants regarding purchasing lab supplies
Act as a point of contact for students who require assess to labs
Respond to various inquiries from faculty, students, staff, and administration in person, by phone, and through written correspondence
Performs other site and position specific functions as assigned
Required Skills
Knowledge of Anatomy & Physiology and labs (coursework Anatomy & Physiology I and II with labs)
Knowledge of Exercise Physiology and labs (coursework Exercise Physiology)
Ability to communicate and work effectively with faculty, staff, students, and administration

Required Experience
BS Degree in Health Sciences or closely related field in science
Experience with lab equipment in Health Sciences (ie., metabolic cart, body composition, Anatomage Table)
