Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a meticulous Bookkeeper in Del Mar, California. Your primary role will be providing accounting services for our education sector, which includes monitoring tuition payments, managing credit card receipt reporting, and maintaining accurate financial records. This position requires a flexible schedule and will be performed in an office setting.

Responsibilities:

• Execute bookkeeping tasks such as data entry, account reconciliation, and journal entries

• Monitor tuition payments and take appropriate action to collect outstanding amounts

• Manage credit card receipt reporting and maintain accurate financial records

• Utilize QuickBooks accounting software for maintaining up-to-date financial records

• Prepare invoices for payment approval and assist in the preparation of budgets and financial reports

• Assist in the preparation of year-end close processes and annual audit

• Assist in the preparation of grant proposals and expenditure reports

• Perform account reconciliation, journal entries, and account analysis

• Utilize skills in QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel, Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and Bank Reconciliations. Requirements • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a bookkeeping role or similar.

• Proficiency in QuickBooks is essential.

• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel are required.

• Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is necessary.

• Familiarity with Bank Reconciliations is a must.

• Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy in work.

• Strong organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines.

• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

• High level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred.
