Job Description

Insight Global's client is looking for a backend Java Developer to join their team to help work on their search capabilities on their website. Some functionality will be focused on ElasticSearch, some on Algolia. Depending on the functionality they are trying to accomplish, they will decide which one to use. They started implementing Algolia a few years ago but ElasticSearch will never be 100% disbanded. This is a 100% heads down development role.

This is an onsite role in the Chicagoland area, 3x per week.

Skills and Requirements

-6-7 years of experience as a backend engineer 100% backend

-Java they are on version 18, any java version is fine

-Elasticsearch - well aware of search functions.

-MongoDB or mySQL for databases -Algolia

-Node is a plus ideal null
